THE TOROIDAL ADVANTAGE   The toroidal transformer is the ultimate transformer. It offers almost unlimited possibilities for alterations and customizing.
Weight and volume are typically 50% or less than that of a conventional laminated transformer.
The circular core, without airgap and with the windings uniformly distributed around the core, reduces the magnetic field and keeps the transformer quiet and efficient.
The mechanical dimensions can be varied to accomodate equipment design requirements; a great benefit when space is at a premium.

STANDARD TRANSFORMERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH EN60742 (FOR USE IN EUROPE AND LOCATIONS REQUIRING 220-240V)

Standard Power Transformers are used for step-down voltages or in transformer rectifier and filter circuits.
Standard Power Transformers are provided with 230 volts primary for 50/60Hz operations. The secondary winding(s) are isolated and can be connected in series or parallel. The transformers are designed for ambient temperature of 40°C. All material used is UL-recognized.
The transformers are normally supplied with one metal disk and two rubber washers for simple and easy one screw mounting (type-R).
When vertical mounting is preferred, the transformer can be supplied with square mounting brackets and screw terminal block (Type-MK)

SPECIFICATIONS:
Power 15 VA - 990 VA
Primary 220-240 Volt 50-60 Hz
Secondary Single or dual windings for series or parrallel connection
HI-pot meets listing requirements of 4000 V RMS between primary and secondary.

MEDICAL ISOLATING TRANSFORMERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH UL/CSA

Medical Isolating Transformers are used in medical and dental equipment, EGG monitors, electro-surgical equipment, medical lasers, NMR equipment, scanners and ultrasonic devices.
Medical Isolating Transformers are provided with dual primary windings for series or parallel connection and for 50/60 Hz operations. The secondary windings are insulated and can be connected in series or in parallel. The transformers are designed for ambient temperature of 40°C and are built to meet the low leakage current requirements of medical equipment. Automatic re-settable thermal switches are included, providing protection from overload and short circuit conditions.
The transformers are centerpotted and normally supplied with one metal disk and two rubber washers for simple and easy one screw mounting (type -R). When vertical mounting is preferred, the transformers can be supplied with square mounting brackets and screw terminal blocks (type-MK).

STANDARD AUTO TRANSFORMERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH UL/CSA

Auto Transformers are used in applications with no requirements for isolation between the input and output windings. Due to this construction they are physically smaller than isolation transformers.
Linear Magnetics Standard Auto Transformers are made for voltage step up or step down. The Transformers are provided with a single winding and are designed for ambient temperature of 40°C.
The transformers are normally supplied with one metal disk and two rubber washers for simple and easy one screw mounting (type-R). The transformers can be encapsulated in a black cylindrical plastic enclosure for attractive appearance and mechanical protection (type-TD). When vertical mounting is preferred, the transformers can be supplied with square mounting and screw terminal blocks (type-MK).

LOW PROFILE TRANSFORMERS

Toroidal Low Profile Transformers are used in slim-line cabinets in audio, video, and broadcast equipment. They are also used in rack systems in the telecommunication and computer industries.
Linear Magnetics Low Profile Transformers are designed for slim-line equipment with a maximum height of 1U (44.5 mm) or 2 U (89 mm).
Mounting is accomplised through a center-potting with a 6.6 mm thru hole.

3 PHASE TRANSFORMERS

Toroidal 3-Phase Transformers are used in AC to DC conversion systems and for isolation and step down voltages.
Linear Magnetics Toroidal 3-Phase Transformers are made from three separate transformers and made to customer specification. They are small and efficient, have low EMI and RFI, and offer a wide range of options and mounting flexibility.
Mounting can be metal disk mounting, center potted with thru-hole, assembled with flanges, a complete unit including screw terminal block(s), or to custom specifications.
