Applications
Linear Motors can be applied to any application that requires motion in a linear direction.
This includes straight paths as well as curved paths.
Today most linear motion is carried out by translating rotary motion driven by a standard rotating motor to linear motion using a screw.
A linear motor based linear motion system can be very simple or very sophisticated. It can be used for pick and place or very high constant velocity applications such as imaging.
